Peacock Echeveria (Echeveria peacockii) - Large
To grow this house plant, all you need is a sunny window sill. It forms a rosette that can reach up to five inches in diameter and features highly ornamental, thick, fleshy, blue-green leaves with a dense, waxy-white patina. This plant also produces spiked clusters of glowing rich orange-red, tubular flowers, making it free-flowering and very attractive.
When growing Peacock echeverias, it is important to use a container with drainage holes and fast-draining soil to prevent moisture retention, which can be detrimental to the plant.
In the spring and summer, minimal water is needed, and even less is necessary during the winter. If you need to move them indoors, avoid drafts and warm air. To induce dormancy, place them in a cool area above freezing. In this situation, the plant will require even less water.
